Curious About Interior Design? Read This Piece
Your home is your haven and it is important that it reflects you and your family's personal tastes. This is where interior design steps in! You may feel that interior design isn't for you or that you don't have a creative bone in your body, but don't let that negative thought drag you down. The simple tips in the article below can help even the most daunted person feel like an interior design pro! When choosing colors for your interior design, avoid going with fads. Olive green walls may have been popular once upon a time, but it can make your home look dated. Go for neutral colors that can withstand the test of time. That way, you would not feel like you have to repaint every year. A good tip when you're thinking of getting some interior designing done is to consult with a professional interior designer. Everyone thinks they can do everything themselves, which isn't a bad quality, but professional interior designers have an eye for things that the average Joe doesn't even think about. Use your own photos as artwork. As a cheaper and more personal way to adorn your walls, use photos that you've taken. Either have prints made and frame them or use one of the many photo-to-canvas providers to have your photo made into a gallery canvas. If you are more tech-savvy, you can alter your photos in software to make them look even more like artwork. When you are decorating your children's room, try to look at things from their perspective. Decor in their room should be practical and age-appropriate. If you have young children, get down and look at things at their eye level. This will help you decide how to make the most of the space in their room. When you are getting ready to paint a room, paint just a portion of a wall first, and wait a few days before you decide. You can avoid the hassle and added cost of re-painting a poor color choice by seeing how you feel about it after a couple of days. A great interior-design tip for budget minded individuals is to switch up your rooms completely. Turn your office into the bedroom and your bedroom into the new office! With completely different functions, furniture and decorations, each new room takes on an entirely new look and personality. It's also a total and enjoyable change up for you, that costs nothing. It is not necessary to read fancy magazines or hire a designer to revamp your home's interior. All you really need is the will to learn and your attentions focused on designing the perfect haven for you and your family. The managing editor will be Steve Payne, editor of Canadian Contractor.
“The new PRO PAINTER magazine will continue to be the voice of independent paint contractors in Canada,” Payne said. “Before Dynamic founded this magazine, 13 years ago, Canadian painters didn’t even have their own trade journal. For an industry this size, that was a sad state of affairs. So we are delighted that new owners have allowed the book to resume publication.”
PRO PAINTER features business advice from highly-successful paint contractors, new products – and instills a sense of community in the paint trades. PRO PAINTER will also have a digital outreach through both the CANADIAN CONTRACTOR website and its own portal.
PRO PAINTER is free to paint contractors. To subscribe, please send your name, company name, address and email address (required) to Beata Olechnowicz, Annex Business Media, here.
